interest into business ownership and a rewarding career. It’s not as difficult as
you might think. Following are some initial steps:
1. Make a list of your personal interests and rank them according to preference.
2. Share our list with friends and ask for ideas in transforming your interest into
business ownership and a rewarding career. Ask people whether they have contacts
in the business you are exploring.

rewarding careers. Incorporate their ideas into our action plan.
5. Join organizations focused on your personal interests. Hire a small-business
consultant or career coach and read business books. 6. Consider a volunteer or internship
position to gain needed experience.
